Setup Method
Recreating the dusty atmosphere of a famous wand shop requires extensive vertical storage units and detailed individual item placement. Build floor-to-ceiling wooden shelving units along all three interior wall surfaces using thin basswood strips painted dark brown. Craft dozens of tiny rectangular wand boxes from colored cardstock, stacking them tightly into every available shelf compartment. Form individual miniature wands using carved toothpicks painted in varying shades of brown, placing a few selected pieces on display counters. Construct a dark wood counter desk near the front edge, featuring a tiny open ledger book made from folded paper. Coat the interior surfaces with a light misting of flat matte clear coat to eliminate artificial plastic sheen and soften colors. Position an amber LED overhead lamp directly above the main counter to cast long dramatic shadows inside.
