Adhesive Under-Shelf Cup Hooks
How to Make
Attaching sturdy metal cup hooks under internal cabinet shelves captures suspended air space for storing coffee mugs and tea cups safely. Mark evenly spaced pilot points along the underside of a wooden shelf using a pencil and tape measure, leaving adequate clearance between coffee cup handles. Screw small threaded metal cup hooks firmly into the wood surface until the base of each hook sits completely flush with the shelf board. Alternatively, slide a removable metal under-shelf hook bracket directly onto the front edge of the wooden shelf for a drill-free installation. Hang ceramic mugs vertically by their handles in neat parallel rows, leaving the shelf space below open for saucers or small side plates. This space-saving technique keeps delicate drinkware elevated and securely organized.
