Mortuary-Style Hanging Botanical Terrariums
Setup Method
Suspending glass terrariums filled with preserved mosses and air plants adds suspended greenery without occupying valuable counter space. Install three dark bronze ceiling hooks directly into joists above an underutilized corner or near the vanity area. Select teardrop or globe-shaped glass terrarium containers equipped with sturdy jute or dark leather hanging cords cut to staggered lengths. Fill the base of each glass vessel with charcoal granules, preserved dark moss, small polished obsidian stones, and resilient air plants or dried botanicals. Hang the vessels at varying heights to establish a layered vertical arrangement. The suspended glass spheres catch ambient room light, bringing natural organic forms into the upper spatial plane of a moody interior.
