Setup Method
Transforming clear food jars into luminous table accents offers a simple, sustainable method for illuminating dark interior corners. Wash several empty glass jars thoroughly, removing all adhesive labels and drying the glass surfaces completely to ensure clear light transmission. Fill the bottom two inches of each jar with dark pea gravel or coarse sand, embedding small bare wooden twigs or dried moss into the base layer. Pour water carefully into the jars until three-quarters full, leaving sufficient clearance at the top rim to prevent spillovers. Float small wax tea light candles gently on the water surface, lighting them just before guests arrive to create soft, reflective focal points along entry console tables or kitchen islands.
