Execution Process
Designing ghostly window figures utilizes translucent fabrics suspended within interior window frames to project delicate shapes toward the outside. Drape thin sheets of white cheesecloth or unbleached cotton gauze over lightweight styrofoam spheres anchored to thin wooden dowels. Secure the tops of the fabric shapes to the upper window trim using clear removable hooks and transparent monofilament line, allowing the frayed lower hems to hover just above the sill. Position a warm battery-powered LED spotlight on the floor behind the figures, directing the beam upward through the translucent material. The subtle light diffusion creates a floating spectral effect visible from both inside the room and outside from the street, providing effortless curb appeal.
