The half-tucked claw clip lift utilizes a sturdy jaw clip to create vertical elevation and air circulation without applying tight elastic tension to the scalp. Gather your wavy or curly hair at the back of your head as if preparing a mid-height ponytail, holding the gathering point firmly in one hand. Twist the base of the ponytail clockwise twice, pointing the tail of the hair upward against the back of your skull. Place a medium or large decorative claw clip directly over the twisted base, clamping the teeth securely into both the twist and the underlying scalp hair. Allow the loose curly ends to flop forward over the top of the claw clip, completely hiding the hair accessory beneath a cascading waterfall of natural curls.
