Scarf Intertwined High Crown

Adding a vibrant silk or cotton scarf into a high ponytail introduces rich color contrast while providing extra structural stability. Start by gathering all your hair up to the high crown position, securing it tightly with a strong hair elastic. Fold a square fabric scarf diagonally into a narrow two-inch wide strip, then wrap the center of the strip around the underside of the ponytail elastic. Tie the scarf into a single secure knot over the top of the elastic, leaving two equal fabric ends hanging alongside the hair. Take one fabric end and wind it spirally around the upper three inches of the ponytail tail, tucking the end under the wrap. Allow the second scarf tail to hang loose among the curls, blending fabric movement with natural hair texture for a chic updo display.
