Condition the entire chalkboard surface by rubbing the side of a white chalk stick across it completely, then wiping it clean with a dry towel. Mount small wooden ledges or iron pipe racks directly beneath the framed board to hold chalk sticks, erasers, and decorative coffee accessories.
