Idea 9: Triple Strand Rope Column

Setup Method

The triple strand rope column adapts traditional two-strand mechanics into a denser, highly textured style designed for thick or heavy hair types. Secure all hair into a tight ponytail at your desired height using a strong elastic tie to establish maximum base support. Divide the ponytail mass into three equal sections rather than two, holding them clearly separated between your fingers. Twist all three individual sections tightly in a clockwise direction simultaneously to build uniform mechanical tension across the base. Treat the left two strands as a combined group, wrapping them counterclockwise around the right strand, then alternating the outer strands into the center while keeping individual clockwise tension active. Continue this modified weaving sequence down the full length to generate a dense, rope-like column, locking the bottom end firmly with a clear elastic.
