Combining a structured top half with cascading lower lengths, the half-up braided crown keeps hair out of the face while showcasing natural hair length. Divide the hair horizontally across the head from ear to ear, isolating the top half while clipping the lower section out of the way. Split the upper section down the center part line, constructing a tight three-strand braid from each temple section back toward the upper crown. Bring both braid ends together at the back center, overlapping them horizontally and pinning the tips beneath the opposite braid using crossed bobby pins.
