Execution Process
Combine historic Edwardian volume with fifties pin-up styling by dividing front hair into two equal left and right sections along a center part. Backcomb both front sections thoroughly to create dense interior cushioning, then smooth the top layer of each side outward toward the ears. Roll each section upward and inward toward the center part, forming two symmetrical, raised Gibson-style rolls that frame the upper forehead. Anchor the rolls securely along the central seam using fine hairpins pushed vertically into the backcombed hair core. Curl the remaining short hair at the lower back into small, tight vertical ringlets using a half-inch curling wand, allowing the ringlets to hang softly along the nape of the neck. Set the front rolls with firm hairspray while leaving the lower nape ringlets soft and flexible to create a captivating contrast in hair textures.
